Acro’s 40-year history of primarily organic growth began in 1982 when it was incorporated as a Michigan corporation headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. Acro is a minority-owned business enterprise (MBE), which has been certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) since 1985. Out of 20,000+ staffing companies in the U.S., Acro now ranks in the top 50. NMSDC has honored Acro as a Corporate Plus® Member, a recognition reserved for certified MBEs with proven capabilities to serve clients on large-scale contracts spanning multiple geographies.

Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC)
Acro is, and has been for several years, one of the largest MBE sponsors of MMSDC events throughout the year in support of MMSDC’s mission. Acro has sponsored MMSDC events since 1987. Ron Shahani, Acro’s founder and CEO, is currently a member of MMSDC’s Board of Directors.
Acro has been a member of CAMSC for many years and sponsors and supports its programs, corporate members and other certified CAMSC members in its MSP programs. Â
Formerly known as the Fiat Chrysler African Ancestry Network's (FCAAN) Legacy Gala Sponsor - Acro has served as the Platinum Sponsor of the FCAAN Legacy Galas, supporting the African American community at FCA and in the Detroit area.Â
Acro has supported APACC, a leading nonprofit organization supporting the advancement of Asian Americans and other minority communities, as a sponsor for over 20 years. Ron Shahani, Acro’s founder and CEO, has also served as Chairman of APACC’s Board of Directors for five years.
Acro sponsors and supports WBENC’s events by attending marketplace events and engaging with women-owned vendors. Acro also supports its client’s women professionals and recently sponsored an event and placed an advertisement thanking an Acro MSP client’s initiatives in promoting female causes and women vendors within its MSP program.  
Acro Action Alliance Initiatives
Acro Action Alliance group comprises of the Acro employee volunteers that gather once per quarter and provide an opportunity for team interaction while working together to give back to the community through acts of service and helping global and local communities and organizations.

Forgotten Harvest
Acro’s community service group helped with lunches for the Summer School Lunch Program at Forgotten Harvest's new distribution center in Oak Park, MI. Together we prepared over 1800 lunches for local children participating in this important nourishment program.
Michigan Chronicle Women of Excellence
Acro has sponsored this Michigan Chronicle event that annually recognizes African American women who have achieved excellence in their fields of expertise or profession.
Covenant House Michigan
Acro has sponsored and supported Covenant House Michigan’s charter schools to enable homeless youth in Detroit 16-21 years of age, primarily from the minority communities, to graduate from High School and go on to college, trade schools or gainful employment.
