About Us

The Acro Story

Acro Service Corporation began in 1982 as a privately-held staffing firm servicing clients in the Detroit, Michigan area. Since then, Acro has developed into a national-level player in workforce management solutions including staff augmentation services and managed service staffing program services in Information Technology (IT), light industrial, technical, finance, engineering, design, manufacturing, administrative and other labor categories.

Acro has 28 offices across the U.S., with its global headquarters located in Michigan, and five international offices in Europe and India. Acro is conservatively managed, has achieved a flawless 30-year record of profitability and growth. Acro attributes its growth to its focus on customer service and to a large extent our growth has been the result of customer referrals and the expansion of services to establish clients based on the excellence of the services we provide. Quality is an essential part of everything we do – Acro’s proprietary approach to account management, service delivery, and quality assurance is based on our ISO 9001:2008 registered and CMM Level 3 certified processes. Acro also enjoys an impressive D&B rating of 3A1.

Acro has implemented Managed Service Programs (MSPs), for numerous clients of all sizes in many industries. Acro’s MSP offering is branded as eXternal Resource Management (XRMSM) Solutions, which consists of a sophisticated web-based system and tailored management assistance programs to automate and streamline all processes involved in procuring, managing and administering a client’s external workforce including contracted labor. Acro has provided MSP services since 1995 and currently manages MSP programs with contracted spend in excess of $1 billion.

As a pioneer in the creation and use of offshore software development centers, Acro is poised to deliver rapid solutions at attractive prices well into the new millennium.

Acro is among the nation's largest certified minority business enterprises and a Corporate Plus® Member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Vision

For present and future members of the Acro team, we set forth here a brief statement of Acro's mission, philosophy, and the relationship between our philosophy and vision. Our collective attention to these matters will continue to be among our most important responsibilities.

Acro’s Vision – Our Dream

Little of consequence is accomplished unless there is first a dream. After each dream comes the work to make the dream come true. Our vision is that Acro will:

  • Have 100% of its clients receiving the best possible service.
  • Have 100% of its team members realizing their full potential while taking joy in making the dream come true

Acro's Mission – Our Aim

To realize its Vision, Acro will be a growth-focused company. In responsible growth lies the sustained well being of all our stakeholders: our customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and the community.

To grow, we will constantly strive to find new and better ways to serve our customers through personal responsibility, teamwork, innovation, process improvements, expansion into new geographic areas and offering new, but related, business lines.

We will do everything within our power to exceed customer expectations and build long-term relationships.

Our Philosophy and Principles

Acro is guided by a philosophy based on certain core values, perhaps best summarized by the Golden Rule--Do Unto Others As You Would Have Others Do Unto You.

Although the Acro philosophy can be summarized by the Golden Rule, it is composed of many principles, including:

  • Fairness
  • A proper balance between head and heart
  • Participative versus authoritarian management
  • Having as few rules as possible
  • Doing everything reasonable for the individual without harming the team
  • Helping the individual to become all that he or she is capable of becoming
  • Optimizing rather than maximizing our financial success
  • Doing the right things for the right reasons, with major emphasis on the long-range consequences of our decisions

Although we will continue to expand and refine the principles embodied in the Acro philosophy, our emphasis will be on communicating, exemplifying and actually living the Golden Rule day in and day out, throughout the whole firm.
