Acro Helps Design Automotive Cockpit of the Future

A major automotive supplier selected Acro's Engineering Services team to help develop an embedded system as part of a radical new cockpit design. 

The goal of the project was to reduce the size, cost, and complexity of the audio, climate control, and driver information subsystems by developing software to reside on five networked modules. Acro contributed to the successful launch of a prototype vehicle in three important ways:

  • Designed embedded code to validate hardware design and serve as a quality control mechanism during manufacturing.

  • Developed and managed all software testing

  • Developed software tools to test system hardware and software after installation in the vehicle.

NASA Benefits from Acro's Complete Services  

One of NASA's major divisions had a tall order.  It needed a partner that could not only provide IT Services, but assist with reducing its supplier base, assume management of a transportation division, and find ways to reduce costs in the process.  It was an order only Acro Service Corporation could fill.  Recognizing the diversity of Acro's services and the added value of its transition management, NASA awarded the company a five year contract.

Offshore Development Aids Internet Grocer

Faced with overwhelming consumer response after the debut of its web site, a Boston-based Internet grocer needed to revamp its order processing systems in a hurry.  The company wanted to work with a single vendor that could provide the necessary hardware, software, and integration services needed to address their capacity issues.

By using Oracle e-Business products and harnessing its 24/7 offshore development centers, Acro was able to stabilize the customer's environment and develop a solution that reduced order fulfillment errors by 95 percent.
