Qualifications: Ability to work effectively in both an independent and team environment. Strong problem-solving, planning and communication skills. Hard-working, committed, and flexible. Hands-on experience in microbial fermentation is highly preferred. Engineering major candidates will ideally have completed relevant life science course work or research. Responsibilities: The highly-motivated Research Associate will contribute towards our mission of producing effective therapeutic proteins, using innovative glycol engineering technologies. As part of our fermentation screening team, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to: Operate and maintain small-scale bioreactors to screen and evaluate pre-defined attributes of Pichia clones. Develop and optimize high throughput fermentation screening protocols. Process, interpret and report screening results to different groups of scientists and engineers.
